South Pointe Hospital provides comprehensive surgical services to meet the needs of patients above the age of 14. As an RN on this team, you will play a vital role assisting surgeons during procedures, setting up instrumentation, and much more. You will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care offering the opportunity to enhance the patient's experience and supply healthcare information as needed. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment.

Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.
Deliver professional nursing care in an operative setting to adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.

• Perform circulating functions, such as monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing the overall nursing care of patients before, during and after the procedure.
• Assist the operating physician with surgical tasks, such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure and patient positioning.
• Prepare the Operating Room, surgical instruments and surgical equipment for use.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Licensed military RN experience will be considered

Personal Protective Equipment:
~ Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
