Job DescriptionThe Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to company recipes and standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen. This role plays a key part in delivering a consistent, high-quality food experience for every guest. The Line Cook works as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and contributes to overall kitchen efficiency and success.Daily OperationsPrepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portioning, and presentation standardsSet up and stock stations with all necessary supplies prior to serviceMaintain a clean and organized workstation throughout shiftEnsure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner to meet service demandsFollow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all timesAssist with prep work, including chopping, portioning, and storing ingredientsCommunicate effectively with team members and kitchen leadership during serviceFood Quality & ConsistencyExecute all menu items to company specificationsEnsure all dishes meet quality and presentation standards before leaving the kitchenMaintain consistency in taste, portioning, and appearanceInventory & OrganizationAssist with receiving and properly storing deliveriesLabel and rotate products following FIFO (first in, first out) standardsMinimize waste by using proper portioning and storage techniquesProvides training and professional development opportunities for all kitchen staff.Teamwork & SupportWork collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operationsTake direction from Kitchen Manager and Assistant Kitchen ManagerAssist other stations as needed during peak periodsMaintain a positive and professional attitude at all timesSafety & SanitationFollow all federal, state, and company health and safety guidelinesMaintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, tools, and work areasParticipate in daily and weekly cleaning tasksQualificationsPrevious kitchen or food service experience preferred, but not requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to follow recipesAbility to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 poundsReliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekendsOther SkillsAbility to work well with others and contribute to a team environmentAbility to follow instructions and maintain consistencyStrong work ethic and willingness to learnWork Environment & Physical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, and use of kitchen equipmentExposure to hot surfaces, sharp tools, and moderate noise levelsAbility to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds as neededAdditional InformationNothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time.
