Registered Nurse RN - Night Shift - Outpatient Health Clinic

Job Location: This position will be Telecommuter / Remote / Work from Home (when not inspecting facilities within Missouri)

No holidays. State retirement. 13 paid holidays. This is a position for a vacant registered nurse position in the Bureau of Ambulatory Care. In this position, you are a surveyor/inspector (Registered Nurse/RN) within the Bureau of Ambulatory Care, under the Division of Regulation & Licensure with regulatory oversight of primarily ambulatory surgery centers. We are regulators who ensure healthcare providers comply with the rules and provide quality care to Missouri residents.

You will be a telecommuter working from your home office when you are not out completing surveys/inspections across Missouri. You will learn the Federal Regulations and State laws and use these regulations when going onsite to conduct surveys/inspections/investigations.

You will spend 3-4 days out in the field performing surveys/inspections and then work from home when not out in the field. The facilities are located throughout the entire state of Missouri, so you can anticipate travel with overnight stays of 2-3 nights per week on the inspection weeks. Hotels, meals, and travel expenses paid while out on inspection. You will attend an organized orientation and training program so that you will be comfortable in your new position. You will typically (although not always, depending on the inspection type) work as a team with one or two other surveyors. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. Conduct on-site surveys/inspections across Missouri to assure compliance with federal and state regulations

Investigate complaint allegations

Review clinical records for documentation requirements

Interview facility staff, patients and families

Observe patient care by facility staff

Review provider policies and procedures

Serve as a regulatory resource for regulated entities

Complete survey reports following specified guidelines

Current Missouri license as a Registered Nurse/RN in good standing

Three years of applicable peri-operative and/or infection control experience

Basic computer skills
