Nurse- Safety & Emergency Management

Overview Shift: 4 8 hr shifts, could pick up a 5th shift
Pay Rate: $85/hr
About: This jail has inmates who are short stays, on trial at DT courthouse or awaiting trial etc. Wide variety of inmates this nurse will care for. They have 24/7 nursing care available for triage of emergencies on-site as well as routine medical care for inmates. Lots of diabetes management, wound care, chronic illness care etc. The nurse will have a security guard with them at all times for safety purposes.
Responsibilities Specific Duties in addition to regular broad RN duties: Med administration, treatments, triage, Med stats, vaccines
Qualifications Strong med/surg experience or ED or ICU
Strong assessment/triage abilities
Must have WA license to be considered
Ability to walk around jail, up and down stairs. Etc
Corrections exp would be ideal!
Behavioral health, ED or Jail experience required
PLEASE NOTE: with the extensive background check and fingerprinting process, this role will have an estimated start date (6-10 weeks out) NEEDS TO BE LOCAL. Finger printing needs to be done in the courthouse at King county. From the time of finger printing, can take 6-8 weeks to clear for start date.
