Must-Have: Med/Surg experience, ability to prioritize care, multitask, start IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
Description:
Unit serves 34 beds with a patient ratio of 6:1.
Tech support is available on both day and night shifts.
Unit secretaries are present from 7 AM to 7 PM.
Utilizes IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximeters, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, and bladder scanners.
An iMobile communication technology is part of the setup.
Documentation is done using Meditech.
Requires three 12-hour shifts per week, including two weekends.
Floating will follow a rotation policy for scheduled staff.
Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and their families.
Involves bedside shift report and personal connections with patients and family members in the care plan.
Unit is certified in Comprehensive Stroke care and is an ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center.
Candidates should possess skills in prioritizing care, multitasking, and performing various medical tasks effectively.
Dress code requires navy scrubs, tops, and bottoms.
