CNC Programmers- 2nd Shift

Leidos' Defense Systems Colorado Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machinist 2nd Shift to join our team at our Colorado Springs, CO location. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in programming, setup, and operation of a variety of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.

Our team is solving the world's toughest security challenges for customers with "can't fail" missions. Operation of CNC lathes (primarily), provide backup operations on CNC mills and other manual equipment.
You will be expected to set up and run machines on a wide variety of operations involving multiple machines that convert raw materials to precision finished goods within print tolerance specification.
Experience in the manufacturing of large aerospace components from exotic materials is a plus. Applicants must be able to work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced environment with little or no assistance
Performs other duties as required and available for overtime as necessary.

• High School diploma or GED
• 3-5 years of experience years of precision machining experience on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings as well as understand basic work instructions for product fabrication
• Proficiency with precision measuring and fixed gauge equipment (micrometers, calipers, electronic height gauges, etc.)
• Candidates must be able to work overtime when required.
• Applicants must be able to work full-time, 4-days per week 10-hours per shift, 2ND shift.
• Experience in the manufacturing of complex aerospace components from exotic materials

Basic PC skills for data entry, timecard and production time entries
