Registered Nurse Job Description The Windsor Independent Living Association, WILA, is a private not for profit organization in Windsor CT. WILA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide clinical nursing and medical management for adults with intellectual disabilities in Windsor, CT. You will join a talented team of professionals in the field of developmental disabilities in an environment that promotes client centered care, within community settings. You will work closely and communicate regularly with various members of the team including families, case management, and direct support professionals. Maintain accurate/current client records for purposes of continuity of care, team communication and program quality evaluation and compliance in all DDS nursing requirements. Provide care in accordance with the DDS Nursing Standards and Guidelines. Train direct support professionals for nursing delegated services. Current and unrestricted licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of Connecticut. Drivers license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance, required. Proficient computer skills, excellent oral and written communication skills . Post offer /pre-employment drug testing, background checks and physical are part of the hiring process. RN with a bachelors degree in nursing with five years nursing experience. RN with associates degree and seven years nursing experience. RN with three years DDS Nursing experience.
