Job TitleDietary AideJob DescriptionDietary Aide works in our adult day health center preparing and serving snacks and meals to participants in addition to maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment and other related tasks.Distributing meals and beverages in center and/or in home following departmental guidelines.Recording temperatures of all meals and kitchen equipment and wearing a hair net, gloves, and apron during meal and snack preparations.Preparing and serving morning and afternoon snacks according to snack menu, portion control, diet orders, and time constraints.Serving the morning and/or noon meal at a proper temperature with references to diet, supplements, adaptive equipment needs, and portion control.Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and kitchen equipment by performing the weekly and daily cleaning according to schedule.Cleaning, organizing, and sanitizing food service equipment and areas.Maintaining the inventory and restocking supplies on a regular basis. Monitoring related expiration dates.Communicating with the Lead Dietary Aide, Speech Therapist, and Dietitian regarding nutritional issues.Assisting the Dietitian with the Child and Adult Care Food Program.Required:High School Diploma or GEDMust have ServSafe certification or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of employmentA minimum of one year experience working with the frail or elderly is requiredMust have current food safety training or be able to obtain immediately upon employment.BenefitsInnovAge offers an alternative to nursing homes through its Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), which provides enrolled seniors with customized healthcare and social support at PACE Adult Day Health Centers.
