Clinical Dietitian III
Barnes Jewish Hospital is looking for a Clinical Dietitian III. You will work along side of other medical professionals to give the patient the care they need while exhibiting the BJC Values.
Part-time/24 hours a week

The Department of Food and Nutrition at Barnes-Jewish Hospital consists of Patient, Retail and Catering Service areas on both the North and South Campus. This includes patient meal and Clinical Nutrition Services, Queeny Tower Restaurant, three Cafeterias and three Coffee Bars. It is the role of the department to serve the needs of patients, visitors and employees with excellent customer service. Our qualified staff services the patients' nutritional needs during their hospital stay according to specified guidelines to improve their clinical status and assist in the healing process. Opportunities are available for all skill levels from entry-level positions to licensed and/or certified management positions.
The registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) works within the interprofessional team and with the patient and family providing medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to patients with complex/multiple metabolic diagnosis and diseases. This dietitian not only integrates standards into daily practice but also serves as a role model to his/her colleagues. Includes responsibilities of RD I and II plus considers and evaluates medications that may alter nutrition status and evaluates outcomes of those receiving nutrition support therapy. Includes responsibilities of RD I and II plus integrates interdisciplinary input and refines prescribed nutrition intervention/plan of care, analyzes outcome measures to assess overall effectiveness of nutrition intervention/plan of care.
Integrates into practice knowledge of the research associated with the science, physiology, and pathophysiology of complex disease processes, and utilizes this knowledge when recommending and providing nutrition support therapy.
Analyzes and reports nutrition support therapy utilization and related costs; Bachelor's Degree
