Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Position Summary and Details

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and organizational policy.
Pay : $28.72 Hourly. Full-Time Non-Exempt Position
Schedule : 40 Hours Weekly, Monday-Friday 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM. There is an additional limited rotational on-call schedule that includes some evening, weekends, and holidays. As we have on-call nurses, on-call time would be limited.
Would be based out of the Belleville, IL Patient Services office. Would primarily provide service to patients in the Belleville's office southern territory which includes the following Illinois counties: St. We visit our patients wherever they may located, whether it be in their homes, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, etc. 67 per mile for driving personal vehicles.
Hospice of Southern Illinois is certified by the State of Illinois and is in compliance with the registration requirements of the Illinois Equal Pay Act.

# Successful completion of Licensed Practice Nurse education.

One (1) year experience in hospice preferred.

Current Illinois LPN license.

• A working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, hospice regulations, and third-party payor expectations is preferred.
• The Staff Licensed Practice Nurse manages stress appropriately, makes decisions under pressure, handles multiple priorities, works alone, and manages anger/fear/hostility/violence of other appropriately. Working Conditions : The Staff Licensed Practice Nurse spends approximately 20% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposure to excessive humidity and noise. The position has potential for exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients, animal pet hair, allergens in the home environment, and some exposure to noxious smells from cleaning agents, exposure to communicable diseases and traffic.
