Service and Installation Pipefitter

The Pipefitter is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems used in commercial mechanical construction projects. This includes HVAC, chilled water, heating hot water, and process piping. Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipe using hand and power tools.

Fit and align pipe accurately before welding or mechanical joining.

Assist welders by prepping pipe and holding alignment during welding.

Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing on piping systems.

Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with all applicable codes.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including use of PPE.

Communicate with supervisors and other trades to coordinate installation.

Keep tools and equipment in proper working condition.

3+ years of experience as a pipefitter in commercial or industrial mechanical construction.

Proficient in measuring, cutting, fitting, and joining various piping materials.

Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, hydronic, process piping).

Experience on commercial projects such as schools, hospitals, or data centers.

NCCER, UA, or other pipefitter certification a plus.
