Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: McAllen, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care in the Labor and Delivery unit, managing patients during labor, delivery, and in the antepartum recovery phases. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a positive attitude, compassion, and flexibility, working effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist in vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures.

Monitor patients receiving magnesium and Pitocin drips, including titration.

Utilize GE EFM for fetal monitoring and CPN EMR systems.

Provide education and support to patients and families during labor and delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Current RN license.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Competency in intermittent electronic fetal monitoring.

Experience in circulating in Labor & Delivery OR is preferred.
