You’re an experienced mortgage underwriting professional with deep knowledge of agency, investor, and insurer guidelines. You balance precision with efficiency, making sound, compliant credit decisions even on complex loan scenarios. You thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, collaborate naturally with loan officers and processors, and bring strong analytical skills with a calm, solutions‑oriented mindset. If you excel at evaluating risk, upholding quality standards, and supporting a high‑performance lending team, this role is for you.

The Mortgage Underwriter III evaluates and renders credit decisions on 1–4 family residential mortgage loans across Jumbo, Conventional, Government, USDA Rural Housing, and Bank portfolio programs while ensuring compliance with investor, agency, and Bank policies.

Analyze borrower credit profiles, income, assets, collateral, and risk factors.

Issue credit decisions aligned with internal, investor, and insurer guidelines.

Practice First Line of Defense responsibilities, including fraud prevention.

Participate in compliance training and monitor for fraud indicators.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

7–10 years recent residential mortgage underwriting experience (required).

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Ability to analyze complex tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065).

38.47 - $57.70/HR, plus strong bonus potential.
