Our Fleet & Facilities Maintenance Department is an integral part in the everyday operations of Intercity Transit. They ensure that our vehicles are working efficiently as riders are safely transported to where they need to go. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Maintenance department as a Vehicle Detailer. We are looking for several highly skilled and energetic professional to join our team as a Vehicle Detailer . This position is full-time and will be responsible for the routine cleaning of Intercity Transit revenue service vehicles. Work hours may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. This position is classified as safety-sensitive under Intercity Transit's Drug and Alcohol Policy and is included in the random drug and alcohol testing program.

As a Vehicle Detailer, you will:

Routine cleaning of bus, van, and automobile interiors and exteriors.
Preparing cleaning materials.
Responding to urgent cleaning needs in vehicles and facilities.
High school diploma or GED desirable.
One (1) year experience in commercial car wash, detailing, janitorial, custodial, or related experience desirable; Must be able and willing to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Receive a competitive salary, $25.07- $32.22 per hour. An employee assigned to swing shift shall receive a shift differential of three and a half percent (3.5%)

Shift Differential
An employee assigned to swing shift shall receive a shift differential of three and a half percent (3.5%) added to the employee's base pay for all hours worked during the bid period. An employee assigned to graveyard shall receive a shift differential of six percent (6%) added to the employee's base pay for all hours worked during the bid period. Shift differential will be applied to all paid leaves.
Floating Holidays
Intercity Transit provides IAM covered employees floating holidays in lieu of traditional holidays. Eligible employees receive six floating holidays each year awarded by adding up to forty-eight vacation hours to each employee's accumulated vacation hours on January 1 of each year. Employees, who are not active for duty on January 1 and who return to work after January 15 and remain in paid status, receive accrued floating holidays in the form of vacation hours on their date of return to work based on the following schedule:
Returning to work January 16-April 1: 38 hours
Employees hired after January 1 receive one floating holiday (10 hours vacation time) at the start of their introductory period and accrue vacation hours in lieu of floating holiday time according to the following schedule:
Intercity Transit provides a $225 a year shoe allowance to IAM employees who are required to wear protective shoes during their work hours to purchase protective-toed safety shoes or protective oil resistant soled safety shoes.
Reckless driving - Driving while under the influence of alcohol or other drugs - Deferred DUI - Hit and run - License suspended or revoked - Negligent driving - Manslaughter resulting from the operation of a motor vehicle
