Job Summary:

Medical Surgical With Telemetry (MS Tele) Nurse San Francisco, California. This role supports Emergency Department holding needs and includes floating to Medical Surgical/Telemetry when not actively utilized in ED holding. The position requires evidence-based clinical practice, accurate documentation of assessments, the performance of common bedside procedures (including IV and Foley), and the recognition of changes in patient condition. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
Schedule: 3 x 12 days; 0700-0930, weekend rotation required, no on call requirement
Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); at least 2 years of experience in Emergency Department (ED)
Preferred Qualifications: Prior community hospital experience
Additional Information: Responsibilities include accurate and thorough patient assessment documentation, completion of clinical procedures (including IV starts, Foley care, and dressings), effective patient and family education, appropriate use of tele monitoring and medication administration safety practices, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition, reporting errors and daily/near-miss events, acting as a patient advocate, modeling safety behaviors, accepting constructive feedback, and completing assigned tasks within required timeframes.
