Mental Health Experience
Conduct thorough assessments to understand the patient's history, substance use patterns, co-occurring mental health disorders, and any other relevant factors contributing to their addiction.
Provide individual or group therapy sessions to address psychological and behavioral aspects of addiction, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and relapse prevention strategies.
Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as psychologists, social workers, addiction counselors, and primary care physicians.
Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in addiction medicine through attending conferences, participating in professional development activities, and contributing to research studies in the field.
Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing the practice of addiction medicine, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and documentation standards.
Provide crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms or relapse crises.
