Facility:
This busy community teaching hospital is a designated Level III Trauma Center with plans to pursue Level II Trauma Center verification in 2028, and is part of Connecticut's most integrated healthcare system. The facility features a robust Acute Care Surgery Program supported by seven full-time Acute Care Surgery and Trauma Surgeons, seven full-time Trauma Advanced Practice Providers, and more than 25 Surgical and Critical Care APPs, along with academic affiliations with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Quinnipiac University School of Medicine.

Two exciting Acute Care Surgery opportunities available: Acute Care Surgeon/Surgical Intensivist and Trauma Program Leadership
Provide comprehensive trauma, emergency general surgery, and critical care services within a collaborative, high-performing team
Trauma Program Leadership role includes advancing clinical excellence, mentoring surgeons and APPs, and supporting quality initiatives
In 2025, the trauma program evaluated more than 2,600 trauma patients and admitted over 1,300 patients, offering a high-volume and diverse clinical experience
Growing robotic emergency general surgery program with opportunities to develop elective surgery practices based on individual interests
Academic and clinical faculty appointment available through the University of Connecticut School of Medicine
