SkySource Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer I for an exciting contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our premier manufacturing clients in the Pooler, GA area.
We are specifically seeking candidates who have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline . This is an outstanding opportunity for recent graduates and early-career engineers looking to gain hands-on experience in a highly technical manufacturing environment while building a long-term engineering career.
Important: Due to government-related manufacturing requirements, candidates must be a U.Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien (Green Card Holder).
The Quality Engineer I is responsible for supporting manufacturing quality initiatives, driving process improvements, analyzing production data, and ensuring products meet established quality standards.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about solving manufacturing challenges while working collaboratively with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.
Support manufacturing quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Utilize quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, and other problem-solving methodologies.
Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Develop, review, and maintain inspection plans.
Assist with inspections, audits, calibration, and compliance documentation.
Review customer and supplier inspection and test plans.
Maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documentation and records.
Track, analyze, and report key quality performance metrics.
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
Bachelor's Degree Required in:
Mechanical Engineering
Manufacturing Engineering
Industrial Engineering
Quality Engineering
Or a related technical field
Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business applications.
Ability to travel up to 50% when required.
Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien (Green Card Holder).
Manufacturing internship, co-op, or professional experience.
