Summary/ObjectiveThe welder/fabricator is responsible for fabricating projects through precision welding of steel and aluminum components.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Read and interpret blueprints, graphics, work orders, technical drawings, and other construction documentation to fabricate a quality project.Fabricate and weld metal components using various welding techniques.Measure and mark materials for cutting and shaping.Operate fabrication equipment including welding torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and other hand tools.Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet specifications.Perform routine maintenance on fabrication equipment.Operate heavy machinery including tractors, forklifts, and skid steers, as needed.Assist shop foreman with warehouse organization, inventory, and other various projects.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.TravelThis position sometimes requires weekend work, overtime and travel.
