Metro PT is looking for a motivated, compassionate, and forward-thinking licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team as a floater , providing coverage throughout our Central Suffolk County region . In this full-time role, your clinic location will vary based on clinic needs and schedule demands—you’ll provide care across all of our clinics in the region.

You’ll work closely with, and under the direction of, a Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality patient care. Our locations offer well-trained support staff, state-of-the-art facilities, and cutting-edge equipment to help you do your best work. Exercises sound judgement, care, professionalism and skill in the performance of duties.

Completes documentation in the EMR to support the delivery of physical therapy services.

Under direct supervision of and with co-signature by a PT, records daily notes.

Helps treat patients by ice or heat packs, helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion; performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques as requested by PT.

Educates patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.

Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

A-Game Attitude: Each day in the clinic you showcase a desire to connect with people with positive, approachable attitude.

Evaluates a patient's need for physical therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.

Provides appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.

Instructs family members, PTA's, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques.

First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications.
