Inventory Steward

Chevron USA - Marine is accepting online applications for the position of Steward located on one of their US Flag fleet of vessels through August 29th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (The Steward is the department head of the vessels Galley department and reports directly to the Master of the vessel. Routine duties require supervision of galley staff; overseeing meal service operations; Specific tasks includes: ordering and inventory of provision supplies; menu planning; supervision of daily meal production; Must make sure that date-stamping for provision rotation is followed.

• Responsible for discipline, welfare of galley personnel and adherence to company policies including training and development of staff; providing feedback and completing performance evaluations; Must be knowledgeable in: meal planning; food nutrition values; baking; Must have competent computer skills and ability to use and adapt to current ordering software.
• Participate in drills, emergency procedures and help guard the safe working practices of the vessel.
• Current USCG Merchant Mariner Documents with Food Handling, and Basic Safety Training and VPDSD endorsements
• Valid Passport
• ServSafe Certified in Food Service Management within six months of hiring
• Relevant experience / training in food service operations (non-fast food)

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
