Registered Nurse - Ambulatory (Ob Gyn - Part Time)

Durango Outpatient Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp to join the team!

We have 5 operating rooms offering a full range of surgical procedures including: Bariatrics, Colorectal, General Surgery/Robotics, GI, OB/Gynecology, Sports Medicine, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Podiatry, and Spine.

What You Will Do (Job Summary) - The Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

The regular work schedule for this position consists of variable hours, Monday through Friday, during the day shift. Flexibility in scheduling is required to ensure adequate coverage and support for departmental operations.

Part Time requires 20 - 29 hours/week.

Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license to practice in NV
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2+ years of PACU or critical care experience
Experience in Ambulatory Surgical Center is preferred
Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
