Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified healthcare professional for a Stepdown Neuro position in Cleveland, OH. This is a day shift role, requiring 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Candidates must have a minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty they are applying for, with Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or progressive care experience preferred but not mandatory.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid Permanent Ohio license or a compact state license at the time of submission.
Active certifications required:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Must be willing to work at least every other holiday.
All references must come from management (e.g., manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director) within the past 12 months.
Candidates must complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation. Acceptable scores are required, and candidates will have up to two attempts to pass.
Additional Requirements
Criminal background checks and license reviews will be conducted; candidates with license hits will not be accepted.
All travelers, except nurses and surgical technicians, must be nicotine-free, with a negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine required within 12 months of start.
Candidates must complete BCI/FBI fingerprints within 48 hours of signing the contract.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and protocols within the neuro stepdown unit. Candidates will manage patient evaluations, administer treatments, and monitor patient progress.

Preferred Experience

• 1 year of combined permanent experience in the relevant specialty.
• Charge nurse experience is a plus.
