Travel Neurosurgery Registered Nurse

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position at an oncology-focused hospital in Ohio, requiring at least 2 years of PACU experience and no first-time travelers.

Requirements

Active OH RN license or compact RN license required

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required

2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co‑worker references are not accepted

First‑time travelers will not be considered for this position

Responsibilities

Work setting is a hospital PACU within a major oncology and research facility

Patient population is predominantly oncology with acuity ranging from outpatient to ICU‑level care

Specialty surgical cases include flap reconstruction (ENT, breast, and other), thoracic, and neurosurgery

Schedule is five 8‑hour shifts per week, with shifts varying between 12:00-20:30 and 13:00-21:30

No weekends, no on‑call, and no holiday coverage required

Local candidates are accepted

Former employees of this facility are eligible to apply after a minimum 6‑month separation

Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration

All candidates are required to complete an Ohio fingerprinting process; detailed instructions will be provided by the credentialing team upon booking
