Registered Nurse - Telemetry Monitoring

The Clinical Nurse specializes in telemetry units, providing expert nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. This role emphasizes delivering safe, patient-centered care supported by evidence-based practices and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs, prioritizing interventions based on clinical judgment and nursing standards.

Implement comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process and integrating telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and patient education.

Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop, execute, and modify individualized care plans.

Educate patients and families about their condition, medication, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance.

Conduct purposeful hourly rounding and respond proactively to patient needs, concerns, or safety issues.

Document all patient interactions and clinical activities accurately and in accordance with regulatory standards.

Hold a valid NYS Registered Nurse license with current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent tele and critical care nursing experience.

Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records and telemetry systems.

Have at least 1 year of travel nursing experience (preferred but not required for per diem).

Work within a supportive, high-reliability environment focused on quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
