Physician - Anesthesiology - Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Position Overview Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join a well‑established group of physicians in Bismarck, North Dakota. The practice includes 11 MDAs, 30 CRNAs, a 4:1 CRNA supervision staffing model, and an in‑house call rotation of approximately one day per week.

Responsibilities Perform history and physical examinations and fully manage anesthesia care of patients of all ages.

Provide anesthesia services for a varied case mix, including Cardiac, Neuro, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, and General surgery.

Participate in in‑house call rotation (approximately one call per week with a day off after call).

Qualifications M.D. or D.O. degree.

Board eligible or board certification in Anesthesiology (American Board of Medical Specialties, American Osteopathic Association, or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada) or a qualifying residency/fellowship of 3–4 years accredited by ACGME, AOA, or the Royal College.

Demonstrated clinical activity: at least 200 anesthesia cases in the past 24 months. Applicants may provide a fellowship log, a quality profile from hospital(s) where they hold current privileges, or documentation of hospital‑based clinical activity for the past 24 months.

Those not yet board certified may obtain certification within five years of completing residency training, unless grandfathered.

Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on a base amount plus a quarterly production‑based payout. All compensation is pool‑based.
