Position Description:
The University of Louisville is seeking an Admissions Counselor III. This position will provide clerical and other support for administrative departments within the Law School. This is a new position with shared duties across these departments.
75% - Admissions: Manage routine communications with prospective students, applicants, and admitted students, including but not limited to: application status updates, individualized communications pertaining to incomplete applications, next steps for admitted students wishing to enroll, general admissions inquiries, and any other special communication as assigned by the Assistant Dean for Admissions.
Work with LSAC Unite and other University software to track prospective student inquiries, maintain applicant records, process admissions decisions, and prepare data summaries or other reports as requested by the Assistant Dean for Admissions. Coordinate the receipt and tracking of electronic file information for JD program applicants.
Coordinate on-site admissions events, such as information sessions and Admitted Students Day.
Coordinate travel for the Office of Admissions, monitors travel expenditures, and represents the School of Law as needed at occasional recruitment events.
Perform general clerical services for the Office of Admissions, including but not limited to: answering the main Admissions phone line, directing calls as necessary, assisting any scheduled visitors or walk-ins, managing the main Admissions email account, serving as the office manager for the Office of Admissions, and implementing procedural changes to improve efficiency.
Manage departmental purchasing and utilize the Procard for department and Workday reporting/reconciliations
Lead special projects and performs related duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean for Admissions.
25% -Academic and Student Affairs: Provide general clerical services for the Office of Academic Affairs and Office of Student Affairs.
Assist with bar certifications for graduates as they apply for licenses to practice law.
Maintain office calendars
Provide support for major law school events such as graduation and mandatory student meetings
Other related duties as assigned by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in law school admissions, university admissions, student records, student affairs or other university administration.
Experience with Workday, PeopleSoft, or other similar data management systems.
Experience with Microsoft Office software

Be flexible, possessing the ability to change tasks quickly and adapt to meet the needs of callers, walk-in visitors, and scheduled visitors who arrive early/late.
Be able and willing to work outside of normal business hours if needed to attend and assist with recruitment and student events.
Be comfortable with compiling data.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
