Buyer Full Time Supply Chain

They are looking to hire a Buyer on a contract basis to optimize their material planning and production scheduling processes.
Are you ready for your next challenge in supply chain management? This opportunity will allow you to play a vital role in ensuring supply chain continuity and inventory optimization. You'll interact daily with suppliers, production teams, and planners, gaining valuable hands-on experience in material flow management and cross-functional collaboration. Contract Duration: 6+ Months Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business from an accredited institution
Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), ERP/SAP, production scheduling, and inventory management
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Background in materials management and methodology
Experience with SAP is highly desirable
MRP exception management in SAP
Inventory and supply chain analytics via Excel
Manage the flow of materials between supplier and plant
Ensure materials availability for production
Adjust MRP planning parameters (safety stock, lot sizes, lead times, etc.)
Quarterly review of replenishment strategies (Kanban, ROP, or MRP)
Follow up on SAP planning order exceptions (past due, expedite, push out, cancel)
Coordinate with kitting and upstream teams regarding material issues
Review missing parts and prepare, release, and organize orders for production
