Travel RRT - ICU - Respiratory Therapy

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma teaching hospital requiring 2+ years of experience and comfort treating both pediatric and adult ICU patients.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of applicable Respiratory Therapy experience

Active state or Compact RRT license required at submission (license required if applicable)

No background or license actions within the past 12 months

Must be comfortable working with both pediatric and adult ICU patients

Advanced EKG exam required as part of compliance for this specialty

SSN and DOB required at submission

Pending license not accepted

Responsibilities

RRT unit within a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma teaching hospital

733 total staffed beds

Night shift, 4x12 hour shifts, 18:00-06:00

Weekend requirement every other weekend

Floating within scope to meet facility needs and between like units required

No on-call requirement

Epic EMR used

Solid black or black and white scrubs required

Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted, subject to manager discretion

No holiday RTO accepted; if approved, only one major holiday may be requested

Must be willing to float within the hospital or affiliated campuses based on staffing needs

Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler

Night shift extension policy allows up to two extensions (maximum of three contracts total), then a six-month wait before reapplying

Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible

Pre-start compliance modules required, estimated 4-10 hours to complete
