Security Officer (Part-Time)
As the Gatehouse Officer for Berkeley Hall Club, your primary role is to maintain a secure and welcoming environment. Maintain security and safety in assigned areas.
Operate and monitor security control panels, alarms, and related equipment to ensure comprehensive surveillance.
Contact police or fire departments in emergency situations, such as fires or unauthorized presence.
Answer telephone calls, take messages, and provide information during both business and non-business hours.
Act as a resource for visitors and members of the Berkeley Hall community, offering assistance and information.
Capable of working extended hours, to include weekends and holidays as necessary.
Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.
Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities.
Environmental Requirements:

For safety reasons, must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health and environmental concerns.
Must be able to work effectively in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties.
This position will alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate and with proper lighting to an outdoors setting with variable climate and lighting.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Must be able to work independent of supervision.
Must be flexible to work all posts and shifts including working evenings and weekends.
