This downtown Stuart hospital provides top-quality patient care to the communities in and around Martin County on the beautiful St. The caregivers at Martin North Hospital have made it an excellent medical facility and a home away from home.The 5NW Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializes in post-operative vascular and thoracic medical services, including the placement of chest tubes and arterial bypasses. These patients have been stepped down from the ICU but still require a higher level of monitoring and care than a medical-surgical unit. As an RN on this team, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. On this nursing team, you will feel supported and appreciated for the knowledge you must share and have access to our advanced technology and research to ensure all patients receive world-class care.A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 P M – 7:30 A M.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Provide direct nursing care.Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red CrossOne year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experiencePreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)NIH Stroke Scale CertificationPhysical Requirements:Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.The policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our drug free environment.
