Trademark Paralegal - Irvine, CA

The Fountain Group is hiring for a prominent pharmaceutical client seeking an experienced Trademark Paralegal to support its legal department and trademark functions.

Location: Irvine, CA

Pay Rate: $34-$36/hr

Contract Duration: Through December 31, 2027

Position Type: Temporary Contract

This role will work closely with attorneys, outside counsel, internal teams, and senior management on trademark prosecution, searches, disputes, filings, and docket management.

Top Requirements

5+ years of trademark prosecution experience, including preparing and submitting documents to the USPTO

Experience conducting trademark searches using the USPTO database and other trademark search platforms

Experience retrieving, reviewing, and analyzing trademark dockets

Strong legal writing skills, including drafting concise communications such as Cease & Desist letters and correspondence with outside counsel

Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-certified program

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and file trademark applications, declarations of use, and other prosecution documents

Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and online legal research

Gather specimens and supporting documentation for trademark filings

Review trademark dockets and track deadlines and activities

Support attorneys with trademark disputes, investigations, and case preparation

Coordinate documentation and information requests

Draft correspondence related to trademark searches and disputes

Communicate with outside law firms, internal employees, and senior management

Maintain organized trademark records and databases

Ideal Candidate

A highly organized and detail-oriented Trademark Paralegal with strong trademark prosecution experience, excellent writing and analytical skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple trademark matters and deadlines.
