Position Type: Adult Education Teachers/ Adjunct Instructors for General Education Courses
Location: East Valley Institute of Technology- Main Campus
The Adjunct English Instructor teaches college-level English Composition I (ENG 101) and English Composition II (ENG 102) to adult learners enrolled through EVIT's academic programs. The instructor develops students' critical reading, writing, and analytical skills in alignment with college-level learning outcomes, ensuring readiness for postsecondary success and professional communication. This position requires a commitment to student success, professional integrity, and adherence to EVIT policies and procedures.
Education and Experience
Master's degree in English or closely related field from an accredited institution.
One (1) year of college-level teaching experience is required.
A minimum of 18 graduate level credits in English with a grade of "C" or higher.
At least two (2) years of collegiate-level teaching experience.
Experience integrating technology and real-world applications into English instruction.
Experience working with diverse adult learners and promoting student engagement and persistence.
Experience using Canvas, Google Classroom, and ExamSoft or similar learning management systems.
Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Prints (IVP) Level 1 fingerprint card.
Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.

Adult programs have additional fees associated with them.
