Medical Records - Part Time to Full Time with CNA

Full/Part Time: Full Time – 40 hours per week

Base rate: $20.00 per hour

Paid days off: 41 per year

Augusta University is Georgia's innovation center for education and health care, training the next generation of innovators, leaders, and healthcare providers. The Department of Juvenile Justice Health Services was established in 2017 to deliver high‑quality health services to justice‑involved youth across 25 facilities in Georgia.

Responsibilities

Patient triage: take vital signs, record patient interview/complaints, and prepare patient for exams/procedures.

Process lab requests, perform venipuncture, routine screening tests, EKGs, nebulizer treatments, and dressings as ordered.

Prepare and administer medications as prescribed; record times and amounts on patient records.

Enter clinical data into the electronic medical record and maintain accurate and complete documentation.

Assist with administrative clerical duties, answer phones, and schedule appointments as needed.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma with two years of experience and one of the following credentials: AAMA, CCMA, MedCa, NCMA, or RMA.

Preferred Qualifications

Three or more years of experience in a clinical setting with correctional clinical experience.

Experience with electronic medical records.

Bi‑lingual proficiency is a plus.

Maintain confidentiality.

Detail‑oriented.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
