Cardiovascular Unit
Our Cardiovascular Unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. Our Cardiovascular Unit leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member.

Department Specifics : 85% BSN, 48% PCCN, Cross-trained to ICU, Great Physician/Nursing collaboration, Daily huddles to focus on unit metrics and ideas for process improvement.

Shift : Full time days; 1 year of recent PCU experience

Seasonal Commitment

Full-time Seasonal weekly requirements are three 12-hour shifts for the 13-week contract (excludes 1st week of orientation)

• 1,500 completion bonus for meeting minimum productive time
• 51 Seasonal rate.

Eligible for shift differentials. $3.50 for evenings, $5 for nights, and $6 for weekends. These are stackable (as applicable by time/day) so if you worked a weekend night, you would be paid $51 + $5 + $6.

The first week is Monday- Friday orientation.

Although this is a short term (13 week) assignment, you would be a Baylor employee (not contractual, agency, etc.). The hope is that once the assignment is concluded, you will convert to a regular FT, PT, or PRN role.

As a Seasonal RN, you align with our nursing model, manage patient care, evaluate, recognize, create, implement care plans. Your knowledge will help patients navigate the healthcare system safely, reducing complications. You will use your expertise to understand patient needs and the healthcare environment.

Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Comprehensive knowledge of standards and procedures in nursing and patient care.

Proficient problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to provide quality patient care.

Flexibility and excellent communication for sharing changes in patient health conditions promptly and efficiently.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Major : Nursing.

Experience : 1 year of recent PCU experience.

Certification / License / Registration :

Registered Nurse (RN).
