ER Regional Float Team RN - PRN Nightshift

A registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient/resident (infancy to geriatrics depending on scope of care in the nursing department in which he/she works) assigned to his/her care. He/she is responsible for the co-ordination of direct and indirect care within the parameters of the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act and the policies and procedures of Baptist Health emergency departments. Assesses patient/resident clinical status

Develops a plan of care

Implements/oversees the implementation of the nursing plan of care

Communicates and validates patient care information

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience:

• Active Kentucky RN License required
• 2-3 years ER experience required
• BSN or Nursing Certification required except as noted:
• Individuals hired as a Staff RN prior to October 1, 2013 are grandfathered and exempt from obtaining a BSN or Certification.
• Associate degreed New Graduate Nurses must obtain a BSN by agreeing to enroll in a program within 1 year of hire/transfer and complete the degree within 5 years of hire/transfer.
• RN's with less than 5 years of experience as a nurse must enroll in a BSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire.
• RN's with 5 years of experience or greater as a nurse must complete one of the following: (a) Obtain a BSN by agreeing to enroll in a program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire or (b) Obtain a Nursing Certification within one year of hire or as soon as eligible to sit for the certification.
