5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies list for the last 13 years. Credence has an immediate need for an experienced Civil Engineer EN-8.42 who will be primarily responsible for supporting AFLCMC/EN at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH.
The Engineering Directorate (AFLCMC/EN-EZ) has the collective AFMC mission responsibility for preeminent engineering expertise to acquire and support war-winning capabilities. In order to meet current and projected workload requirements in support of AFLCMC/EN-EZ, the Government must augment its organic (military and civil service) capabilities with Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support.
AFLCMC/EN-EZ is headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) OH with major units located at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB) FL, and Hanscom AFB, (HAFB) MA, as well as additional locations across the United States (US). The Engineering Directorate is currently organized into the following divisions.
Develop and review Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and project documentation.

• Coordinate with customers and other Governmental personnel and agencies, as necessary, to define project requirements, ensure compliance with Federal and Air Force regulations.
• Draft Performance Work Statements (PWS), prepare draft Statements of Work (SOW), draft programming documents, and develop cost estimates, briefings and other components of the programming / acquisition package for Government approval and submission.
• Perform independent technical and cost reviews of facility project design submittals, standard design templates, charrette reports, and facility design standards/tools prepared by architect-engineers.
• Assist in the development of various project management tools to include project management plans, construction management documents, and all required enterprise business system data entry for assigned projects.
• review/ oversight of contractor work in progress; and quality assurance/quality control.
• Perform a comprehensive technical review of contract submittals, requests for information, change order requests, or other real-time interaction with a design or construction contractor.
• Assist in the coordination of and attend selected project development meetings, contract review meetings, pre-construction meetings, and other pertinent meetings to coordinate information with installation activities.
• Perform planning and design work for multi-phase new construction, renovations, and improvement projects for real property facilities, including utility systems, utilizing a professional knowledge of mechanical and/or civil engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
• Prepare, develop and/or review design calculations, cost estimates, schedules, underlying analysis, technical drawings, and specifications related to a wide variety of projects and mechanical systems, to include plumbing (potable water and sanitary sewer); Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC); fire suppression, control, and alarm systems.
• Perform planning and design work for multi-phase new construction, renovations, and improvement projects for weapon system support facilities, utilizing a professional knowledge of civil engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
• Prepare, develop or review design calculations, cost estimates, schedules, underlying analysis, technical drawings, and specifications related to a wide variety of projects and systems, to include airfields, roadways, site/area development, drainage, foundations, structures, transportation; drainage and other systems of major size and complexity for use on a military installation, airfields, multi-story office buildings, large utility plants, hospitals, hangars, flight simulators, and similar structures.

Active Secret clearance preferred
ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Experience with facilities, infrastructure, or construction projects
Familiarity with AutoCAD
Experience coordinating with government customers, installation personnel, or architect-engineers preferred
Experience with airfields and roadways projects preferred
Experience with site development and drainage projects preferred
Experience with utility systems projects preferred
Experience with building or facility projects such as hangars, hospitals, and office buildings preferred
