We drive growth through new product development, deeper engagement with customers' engineering, geographic expansion, and targeted acquisitions.The Engineering Director provides strategic leadership for the Engineering function, driving innovation, product development, and engineering excellence to support the organization's growth objectives. This role oversees Product Engineering and R&D while ensuring the successful execution of new product development, technology roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Engineering Director collaborates cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Executive Leadership to deliver customer-focused solutions, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The position is responsible for developing engineering talent, managing departmental performance and budgets, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.What You'll DoDevelop and execute the engineering department's strategic vision and objectives in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.Lead, mentor, and manage the Product Engineering, Project Management, and Doc Control functions, including the team leads.Develop and manage the engineering department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. What You'll BringExperience in a highly technical, custom engineering and Instrument Transformers environment with multiple reports from different sites and regionsHeavy exposure to a Lean cultureSkilled in change management and can harmonize multiple processes from different sites and legacy systems.Able to represent the technical side of Grid Amran in the industry amongst peers, vendors, technology partners, and customers.Able to support the Sales and Business Development Organization with strategic growth initiatives, opportunity execution, and key customer relationships.What We ValueTen (10) years of senior engineering management experience in a design and manufacturing environmentBS degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred, Advanced degree a plusDemonstrated leader capable of setting measurable goals, team building, & follow-up to project completion.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to operate across diverse markets and customer demands.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Project & VisioMust be able to travel to various Standex locations, Suppliers, & CustomersEqual Opportunity Employer.
