Registered Nurse - Night Shift (3x12 Hour)
This is a 13-week contract position with a night shift schedule of 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00).
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care through the application of the Nursing Process to patients across a range of age groups, from infants to geriatrics. The role includes documenting patient care in compliance with regulatory and hospital standards and taking responsibility for maintaining clinical competencies. The nurse will work within a dynamic clinical environment, addressing various patient diagnoses.
Responsibilities

Utilize the Nursing Process in delivering patient care
Document care thoroughly and according to requirements
Assume responsibility for professional development of self and others
Maintain excellent judgment and professional demeanor in a busy, stressful environment
Prioritize and manage workload effectively
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience required

Patient Care and Skills

Knowledge in managing a variety of patient diagnoses including Sepsis, CIWA, COPD, trauma, and more
Skills in administering blood products, central line management, and non-invasive airway management
Ability to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and manage insulin protocols
Experience in handling postoperative care and respiratory failure
Proficient with IV starts and maintaining peripheral lines
