Horizon Health is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL & a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. We have been serving residents of Edgar County since 1968 though community education, emergency services, and outpatient care. As we continue to expand our services & locations, our community has grown far beyond Paris. Our rich history and strong community support pave the way for the future of healthcare as we serve you—our family, friends, and neighbors.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of the patients assigned to him/her during a given period of time. The RN functions under minimal supervision and according to established policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards. The RN performs other assignments as required.
Assures that the patient’s chart is complete and includes the history & physical, diagnostic data, and the consent form.
Assists the anesthetist with positioning the patient for spinal and regional anesthesia.
Preps the incision site according to established procedure.
Counts sponges, needles, and instruments per policy and reports any discrepancies.
Initiates IV therapy, obtains patient’s consent on surgical consent, performs other treatments necessary for procedure.
Assists surgeon with retracting and suturing.

Graduate from an associate degree, baccalaureate degree, or diploma school of nursing.
Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois.
Pay ranges from $27.473/hour to $43.997/hour for an RN (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience)
