LanceSoft is seeking a travel Radiation Therapist for a travel job in Little River, South Carolina.
Radiation Therapist
- Discipline: Allied Health Professional
- Shift: 12 hours, days
- Employment Type: Travel
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation; using advanced level linear accelerators, Tomotherapy treatment units, or proton therapy units; recording and verifying treatment software; as well as simulating patients in accordance with prescription and instruction of radiation oncologists.
- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Administer daily prescribed doses for radiation therapy treatments.
- Follow principles of radiation protection for patient, self and others and utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff.
- Educate, prepare and reassure patients and their families by answering questions, providing physical assistance, and reinforcing physicians’ advice regarding treatment reactions and post-treatment care.
- Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families and visitors.
- Contributes to the training of radiation therapy students.
