ENTACT is actively seeking a Field Engineer in the environmental remediation and geotechnical construction industry. Candidates must be open to sustained project-based travel within the US, at least 80% of the time. Project locations will vary depending on the assignment. Candidates can reside anywhere within the US. ENTACT offers per diem/living allowance and paid monthly trips home. Position Summary: The position of Field Engineer will work closely with all members of the management and health and safety team. This position includes quality control, surveying, reporting, KPI tracking, and other responsibilities related to the proper and timely execution of ENTACT projects. Must be self-motivated to meet deadlines, communicate effectively in a teamwork setting and be able to adapt role/responsibilities in a fast-paced ever-changing environment. Associates must be open to periods of sustained project-based travel. HAZWOPER training is highly preferred but not required. Must have a valid driver's license with no driving restrictions which interfere with job requirements. Work Environment: The Field Engineer performs the essential job functions primarily in a construction/field setting and occasionally works in a typical office environment. Essential Job Functions:

Complete work in accordance with ENTACT safety policy and procedure.
Responsible for the technical coordination of on-site procurement activities including material requisitions, tracking supply deliveries, verifying field receipts and monitoring subcontractor performance.
Process project documentation including daily reports, weekly reports, RFIs, submittals and change orders.
Track schedules, ensure contract compliance and support the Project Manager and Field Project Manager (Superintendent) to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Develop accurate construction figures and surfaces from engineering sketches, design concepts and field measurements using AutoCAD.
Process subcontractor billings, monitor project budgets, verify field payroll and provide financial reporting to Project Manager.
Oversee the lifecycle of all contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders from drafting to project closeout.
Ensure all activities, materials and workmanship comply with approved design drawings and project specifications.
Conduct initial and daily topographic surveys to calculate earthwork volumes, track stockpiles and assess site drainage.
Work with project teams and vendors to meet project goals and objectives during the execution phase of the project.
Issue purchase orders and subcontracts, enter/track time, assist with expense reports and verify the accuracy of vendor and subcontractor billings.

Skills/Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams.

HAZWOPER 40 hr. training is highly preferred but not required.

Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computers, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must be capable of working under physical stress conditions such as heat stress and cold stress during various weather conditions and potentially long workdays.
Ability to climb stairs and/ or ladders to reach and work from elevated platforms.
Ability to grip handrails/ ladders with both hands.
Hot, cold and pressure sensitivity in hands and feet.
Must have a normal sense of smell.
Donning of varying types of personal protective equipment (PPE) as project requirements and conditions warrant to include respirators. Minimum PPE includes steel toe safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection and hi-visibility safety vest.
Working in loud or noisy environments.
Ability to give clear and precise verbal and written instruction to all crew members including when under pressure.
Match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
See objects or movement of objects to one's side when the eyes are focused forward.
Hear the direction from which a sound originated.
Must be able to walk on broken, unfirm, uneven ground.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:
Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job include:
Outside construction site, onsite office space.
The terrain is rugged and may be difficult to navigate.
Confined spaces.
Hot Environments.
Noisy work environments controlled to levels at or below exposure limits.
Contaminated atmosphere exposures (i.e. fumes, vapors, lead dust, H2S, etc.) controlled to levels at or below exposure limits.
Personal Protective Equipment:
~ Different types of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be worn including, but not limited to hard hat, hearing protection such as ear plugs or muffs, eye protection such as safety glasses, goggles, face shield, etc., welders helmet, safety vest, various types of gloves including leather, Nitrile, latex, etc., steel toe boots, and various respiratory protection such as dust masks, half face and full face respirators, SCBAs, APRs, etc. may be required depending on site conditions. Respirator use may require that the user be clean shaven. Protective coveralls include cotton, Tyvek, fire retardant, chemical protective, etc.
