The Taqueria Cashier provides friendly, speedy, and accurate service in the Taqueria department by recording and gathering customer food and beverage orders. This role operates the cash register, handles payments, balances the cash drawer, and prepares beverages while maintaining Vallarta's high standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service.

Accurately record customer orders while promoting sales through suggestive selling.

Operate cash register, scale, and equipment properly.

Follow company cash handling and payment policies.

Balance the cash drawer at the end of the shift.

Maintain full knowledge of food and beverage menus.

Prepare and serve agua frescas, juices, coffee, and champurrado; ensure beverage quality throughout the day.

Clean agua fresca jars, juice machines, coffee carafes, and champurrado pots safely.

Follow health codes, food safety standards, personal hygiene, and sanitation practices.

Work safely, use equipment correctly, and report issues immediately.

Support coworkers, assist customers, and model teamwork.

Treat coworkers and customers respectfully at all times.

Follow dress code and store policies.

No driving, heavy machinery, uneven ground, noise, or work at heights required.

Friendly, courteous personality with strong customer service skills.

Knowledge of Taqueria menu, foods, and beverages.

Prior cashier or restaurant/fast food experience helpful.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Basic understanding of English language.

Fast-paced Taqueria setting with direct customer interaction.

Exposure to perishable products, beverages, and changing conditions.

Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
