EHS Industrial Hygienist

Role Overview Senior Industrial Hygienist responsibilities include investigative, strategic, reporting, leadership, quality assurance, mentorship, and client development duties.

Responsibilities Investigative Excellence: Conduct thorough site investigations to identify physical and environmental risks, including airborne chemical monitoring, noise monitoring, and indoor air quality assessments.

Strategic Development: Support regional growth throughout New England and national clients, develop comprehensive sampling strategies, research regulatory standards, and assist in creating practice guidance for Terracon industrial hygiene practitioners.

Impactful Reporting: Evaluate sampling results, prepare detailed risk assessment reports, and develop actionable recommendations. Present findings to clients.

Leadership and Safety: Lead safety efforts for the team, ensuring adherence to safety rules and guidelines, and model a safe work environment with pre‑task planning.

Quality Assurance: Drive continuous quality monitoring and improvement, upholding high‑quality standards in all project and proposal deliveries.

Mentorship and Training: Provide technical direction and training to less experienced staff, fostering growth and development.

Client Development and Engagement: Participate in marketing strategy development and present qualifications to clients across commercial, transportation, healthcare, energy, and federal markets.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related science field.

Minimum 8–11 years of experience.

Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred.

Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).

Ability to attain Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status.

Preferred Certifications Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)

EPA Certified Lead‑Based Paint Inspector and Risk Assessor
