Phlebotomist (temporary/hourly)

Location: Louisville, KY

Pay Rate: $21.50 - $23.05 per hour

Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:45 AM - 4:45 PM; Friday, 7:45 AM - 1:45 PM

As a Phlebotomist II, you will serve as the face of the organization for patients seeking laboratory services. Your expertise in specimen collection, commitment to quality, and dedication to exceptional patient care help ensure accurate diagnostic testing and a positive patient experience.

What You'll Do

Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric specimen collections following established procedures and quality standards

Verify patient identification and ensure specimens are accurately labeled in the patient's presence

Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining specimen integrity and compliance standards

Maintain required patient records and documentation accurately and confidentially

Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties

Provide exceptional customer service while creating a professional, welcoming environment for patients

Travel to multiple locations as needed to support operational and staffing requirements

Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment

What We're Looking For

  • A current, up-to-date resume
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Strong phlebotomy skills with the ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment
  • Customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment highly preferred
  • Experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred
  • Strong keyboarding, data entry, communication, and organizational skills
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations as needed
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and accuracy
  • Ability to meet compliance requirements
