Your Responsibilities As a Hematology/Oncology Physician, your duties will include:
Delivering comprehensive hematology and oncology services to Veterans in both outpatient and inpatient environments.
Conducting thorough medical and psychosocial evaluations.
Coordinating specialty consultations within the VA and community care networks.
Managing chronic diseases and providing survivorship care.
Educating patients and families through various communication methods, including in-person visits, phone calls, mail, and secure messaging.
Supervising and mentoring medical residents and students.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams.
Possibly overseeing nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
