Executive Housekeeper
Salary Range $62,000 - $72,000 plus Bonus.
Hyatt Place Arlington/Courthouse Plaza, a contemporary hotel in Arlington's Courthouse District, greets guests with 168 guest rooms and suites, The Placery at the lobby bar and more than 4,500 sq. ft. of event space.
The hotel is on Wilson Boulevard at N. 1 mile from the Courthouse Metro Station and a block from two Wilson Boulevard bus stops. The hotel provides complimentary parking for employees in the hotel garage.
LodgeWorks is actively hiring for an Executive Housekeeper.

At LodgeWorks, hospitality is more than just the industry in which we work; The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for managing the housekeeping and laundry facilities of the hotel in a safe and cost-effective manner in order to achieve maximum guest satisfaction and protect the assets of the hotel. This position participates as a member of the Hotel Management Team and perform other duties as assigned. Manage daily Housekeeping operations, including but not limited to maintaining the cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices and meeting spaces.
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with LodgeWorks standards as required by scheduling, which varies according to hotel needs.
Comply with LodgeWorks standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Maintain professionalism consistent with hotel, brand and company expectations.
Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring that they perform in accordance with established brand and property standards and consistent with LodgeWorks core values.
Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures.

Prepare schedules based upon occupancy, assign duties to workers and schedule shifts or notify vendor of weekly staffing needs.
Monitor and maintain proper inventory of housekeeping and laundry supplies; coordinate all departmental inventories and ordering, including staff uniforms.
Coordinate efforts with Front Office and Engineering to achieve maximum levels of guest satisfaction.
Monitor work orders and submit to Engineering according to hotel procedures; Manage vendor contracts and relationships.
Monitor out-of-order, out-of-service, discrepant and show rooms.
Monitor and act on special requests as needed (e.g., VIPs, special-need rooms).
Monitor and control weekly payroll in comparison with monthly budget, taking appropriate action to ensure the best overall results.

Be aware and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the operation of the department.
Provide feedback to staff on their performance; handle disciplinary problems and counsel employees according to hotel standards; conduct scheduled performance reviews per the hotel's standards.

Practiced, with six months' related experience in hospitality or a service industry.
