Description:
Unit consists of 21 beds, including private and semi-private rooms.
Staffing ratio is 1:5-6 for both day and night shifts.
Charge Nurse available 24/7 to assist with admission and discharge processes.
Candidate must work every other weekend and rotating holidays as needed.
Basic skills in reading arrhythmias are required.
Only IV drips for Heparin or Protonix without titration.
Vents available include BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow systems.
Clientist support is present 24/7, ensuring round-the-clock patient care.
Nurse aides available to assist with patient support.
Orientation will include one shift with a preceptor.
Common patient diagnoses include total joints, spine surgeries, and other neuro-related conditions.
Attendance and reliability are critical for this role.
Expectations for cancellation are limited to two shifts per 13-week assignment.
The charting system used is EPIC.
Block scheduling is possible with advance notice.
Floating may occur, generally to other MedSurg units.
Scrub color for nurses is navy blue, with specific requirements for tops and jackets.
Professional appearance including natural hair color and covered tattoos is expected.
