Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer

A multi-discipline engineering firm with over 50 years in business is looking for a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer for their Minneapolis office! This is a hybrid position that includes in office work three days a week and remote work two days per week. Responsibilities include serving as lead design engineer for a variety of multi-disciplined, complex public/private water and wastewater projects, coaching/mentoring junior staff, project manager duties including evaluating scope/scheduling requirements, coordinating planning strategies, and providing quality assurance and quality control, developing a strategic market development plan, building/maintaining client relationships, looking for business development opportunities, and actively participating in professional associations. Representing the company at trade shows/conferences is also part of the role.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering, an advanced degree preferred, 8+ years of progressive technical design experience, 4+ years of experience managing public/private water and/or wastewater treatment infrastructure and facility projects, PE License, business development experience, experience developing detailed plans/specifications for construction, previous client and project management experience, experience mentoring/training team of engineering professionals, and ability to travel approximately 15% of the time for meetings/site visits. Working knowledge of ArcMap, SWWM, AFT Fathom, SewerCAD, HydroCAD, WaterCAD and/or Revit is preferred. Experience leading/managing multi-discipline design projects with engineering fees in excess of $1.0 million is also required. Salary is commensurate with experience.
