Weekend Oncology Nurse

Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an oncology setting.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct patient triage and assessments with a focus on oncology care.Administer chemotherapy and manage patients' treatment plans.Document patient care using the EPIC system.Collaborate with healthcare team members using SBAR communication.Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and side effects.QualificationsMinimum Experience: 2 years of nursing experience with a strong background in oncology.Traveler Experience: Candidates must have previous travel nursing experience; first-time travelers are not accepted.Certifications: Current BCLS certification is required; OCN certification is preferred.Skills: Strong abilities in triage and administration of chemotherapy, with proficiency in using EPIC.Work ScheduleShift: 40 hours per weekTypical Hours: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PMNo on-call, weekend, or floating requirements.Patient PopulationThe patient demographic primarily includes adults receiving oncology care.Unit OrientationNew hires will participate in a comprehensive 24-hour orientation program to ensure familiarity with unit protocols and procedures.Interview ProcessCandidates are encouraged to provide availability for interviews within the next 72 hours upon submission of their application to facilitate timely communication and scheduling.**Important Note:** All Registered Nurses must bring their own stethoscope to the assignment.
